Orthopedic Salon Medtekhnika Orto

Publication date: 28/02/2024

We love working with innovative approaches to solving complex problems, and one great example of this is our collaboration with the national network of orthopedic salons  “Medtekhnika Orto”.

Together, we successfully secured 8 million UAH in state funding to purchase advanced equipment for producing custom orthopedic insoles using cutting-edge CAD/CAM 3D print technology.

Importantly, CAD/CAM 3D printing is an innovative and unique technology in Ukraine, offering several advantages over traditional insole production methods by allowing for the precise adjustment of the print to the anatomical features of the foot at specific pressure points. This technology enables the design and manufacturing of insoles tailored to specific foot sections, such as toes and heels, a development that is, unfortunately, particularly relevant for civilians, soldiers, and veterans affected by the Russian-Ukrainian war.

Beyond implementing this innovation, the grant funding also made it possible to open 15 “Centers for Custom Orthopedic Insole Production” across Ukraine and create 25 new jobs.

“Thanks to UNRISE’s professionalism, our company has already secured two grants! Along the way, we realized an important truth — winning a grant is only the first part. The real work begins with proper implementation in line with the donor’s requirements and thorough reporting. That’s why we truly value UNRISE’s experts, who support and guide us through every stage — from writing the grant application to final reporting. We’re currently working together on several new grant proposals and believe in their success!”
— Kateryna Yuzhakova, Director of Medtekhnika Orto.
We’re proud to support the growth of Ukrainian businesses and help them increase their positive impact on society.
Thank you for your trust and the opportunity to work together!
